A Chronological Timeline of Biden Family Corruption
What Did Joe Know? Understand the Story by Putting the Pieces Together
2009: Hunter Biden and Christopher Heinz, the stepson of former secretary of state John Kerry, founded Rosemont Seneca Partners, a billion-dollar private equity firm.[1]
May 28, 2013: Hunter Biden co-founded an investment firm called Rosemont Seneca Thornton in Wilmington, Delaware.[2]
November 2013: A billion dollar private investment fund called Bohai Harvest RST (BHR) was formed by a merger between the Chinese-government linked firm, Bohai Capital, and Rosemont Seneca Partners.[3]
December 2013: Hunter flew aboard Air Force Two to China accompanying Joe Biden on an official visit where Joe Biden reportedly met with Hunter’s Chinese partners.[4] At some point during this trip, Hunter Biden introduced Joe Biden to Chinese private equity executive Jonathan Li. Li later became the CEO of BHR.[5]
December 10, 2013: Hunter’s company, Rosemont Seneca Partners, made a deal with the state-owned Bank of China and created the $1 billion investment fund called Bohai Harvest RST (BHR).[6] (i.e. “After the China trip, BHR’s business license was approved.”)[7] (Over the next seven years): “[A]s both Joe Biden and John Kerry negotiated sensitive and high-stakes deals with foreign governments, Rosemont entities secured a series of exclusive deals often with those same foreign governments,” Peter Schweizer, president of the Government Accountability Institute, wrote in his book.[8]
February 14, 2014: Russia’s only female billionaire, Elena Baturina, the former wife of the late Yuri Luzhkov (who was mayor of Moscow and was fired in 2010 over corruption allegations) wired $3.5 million to a Rosemont Seneca Thornton bank account for a “Consultancy Agreement DD12.02.2014.”[9]
April 16, 2014: Vice President Biden met with his son’s business partner, Devon Archer, at the White House.[10]
April 21, 2014: Vice President Biden visited Ukraine, and he soon after was described in the press as the “public face of the administration’s handling of Ukraine.”[11]
April 22, 2014: Devon Archer joined the board of Burisma.[12]
April 28, 2014: British officials seized $23 million from the London bank accounts of Burisma’s owner, Mykola Zlochevsky.[13]
May 12, 2014: Burisma announced, in a news release that has since been scrubbed from its website, that it had expanded its board of directors by adding Hunter Biden, who was put in charge of its “legal unit and will provide support for the Company among international organizations.”[14]
May 12, 2014: Vadim Pozharskyi sent an email to Hunter Biden and Devon Archer attempting to get Hunter to use his political leverage to help the company:
Dear Hunter and Devon,
Following our talks during the visit to the Como Lake and our further discussions, I would like to bring the following situation to your attention.
As previously pointed out on a number of occasions, the representatives of new authorities in power tend to quite aggressively approach N. Z.[15] unofficially with the aim to obtain cash from him. Initially, it was done by the representatives of Svoboda party and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. These so called unofficial” communications” would entail blackmailing: in case we don’t cooperate i.e. provide money in cash the ga[s] production business of N.Z. would be stopped, destroyed etc. . . .
It’s important to note that Svoboda party is represented in the government by the General Prosecutor and by Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine. The last organ together with the State Geological and Subsurface Survey of Ukraine, which is directly subordinated to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, are principal regulators in the area of issuing licenses for natural resources and control.
After unsuccessful attempts to receive funds from our side, they proceeded with concrete actions.
So far we got information (through unofficial channels) that one or more pretrial proceedings were initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs with reg[ar]d to Buri[s]ma Holdings companies that are heavily engaged in gas production and happen to be our Holdings’ key companies. The Ministry of Internal Affairs contacted the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and the State Geological and Subsurface Survey of Ukraine to obtain all documents concerning licenses issued since 2006 until now to the companies of our Holding.
Apart from that, they would unofficially approach our partn[er]s, clients, suppliers trying to intimidate them to stop working with our companies.
These are typical instruments to destabilize business.
We urgently need your advice on how you could use your influence to convey a message / signal, etc. to stop what we consider to be politically motivated actions bearing in mind the following:
- Burisma holdings is a leader among private gas producers;
- Our primary client is Accelor Mital — Ukraine’s biggest metal steel plant;
- We cover more th[an] 60% of its gas needs;
- Our clients and their production are largely depend[e]nt on our work and our ability to perfo[r]m our contractual obligations;
- We employ hundreds of employees etc. and etc.;
- Negative influence on our companies may result in mult[i]-level negative social, econ[o]mical and political consequ[e]nces.
Please advi[s]e, looking forward for your reply.
Vadym Pozharskyi[16]
Hunter responded, saying he was with Archer in Doha, Qatar, and asked for more information about “the formal (if any) accusations being made against Burisma,” adding, “Who is ultimately behind these attacks on the company? Who in the current interim government could put an end to such attacks?”[17]
August 2014: Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, and Devon Archer (who served with Hunter on the board of Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings) went golfing in the Hamptons.[18]
September 24, 2014: Archer forwarded Hunter Biden an email chain (subject line “tax raise impact on Burisma production”), which included Pozharskyi stating that the Ukrainian cabinet had submitted new tax legislation to the country’s parliament that “if enacted, would kill the entire private gas production sector in the bud.”[19] In this email, Pozharskyi also said that he was “going to share this information with the U.S. embassy in Kyiv, as well as the office of Mr. Amos Hochstein in the States.”[20] Hochstein was the State Department’s newly appointed special envoy and coordinator for international energy affairs.[21]
December 2014: BHR became an investor in China Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN), a state-owned energy company involved in building nuclear reactors.[22]
December 2014: Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky allegedly paid a $7 million bribe to officials serving under Ukraine’s prosecutor general, Vitaly Yarema, to “shut the case against Zlochevsky.” The former Acting Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, George Kent testified that after learning about the bribe, and due to Hunter Biden’s membership on the Burisma Board, he and the Resident Legal Advisor reported this allegation to the FBI.[23]
April 17, 2015: Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the board of Burisma (and reportedly Burisma’s №3 executive, allegedly sent Hunter Biden an email:
“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure.”[24]
Early-Mid 2015: The former Acting Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, George Kent, raised concerns to officials in Vice President Joe Biden’s office about the perception of a conflict of interest with respect to Hunter Biden’s role on Burisma’s board. Kent’s concerns went unaddressed.[25]
August 2015: Gemini Investments Limited, another Chinese-government linked entity, purchased 75 percent of Rosemont Reality, a sister company of Rosemont Seneca.[26] Rosemont Realty became Gemini Rosemont and it reportedly focused on purchasing American real estate.[27]
September 2015: BHR joined with a subsidiary of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) to acquire Henniges, an American maker of anti-vibration technologies with military applications, for $600 million. AVIC acquired 51 percent of the company, and BHR acquired 49 percent. According to reports, the acquisition of Henniges by BHR and AVIC was the “biggest Chinese investment into U.S. automotive manufacturing assets to date.” Because the acquisition gave Chinese companies direct control of Henniges’ anti-vibration technologies, the transaction was reviewed by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). CFIUS approved the transaction despite reports that in 2007, years before BHR teamed up with AVIC’s subsidiary, AVIC was reportedly involved in stealing sensitive data regarding the Joint Strike Fighter program. AVIC later reportedly incorporated the stolen data into China’s J-20 and J-31 aircraft.[28]
October 2015: Senior State Department official Amos Hochstein raised concerns with Vice President Biden, as well as with Hunter Biden, that Hunter Biden’s position on Burisma’s board enabled Russian disinformation efforts and risked undermining U.S. policy in Ukraine.[29]
December 2015: In Kiev, Biden allegedly threatened to cancel $1 billion in guaranteed loans unless Ukraine fired its top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, who was under pressure from the U.S., a number of Western countries, and the International Monetary Fund, accused of being weak on prosecuting corruption:[30]
“I looked at them and said: ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’ “Well, son of a bitch. He got fired.”[31]
Late 2015: According to Tony Bobulinski, Bobulinski was approached by James Gilliar, a man he had known “for many years,” about joining him in a deal with Chinese state-owned energy company CEFC and “what [Gilliar] called one of the most prominent families in the United States.”[32]
April 2016: The U.S. DOJ charged CGN with conspiracy to unlawfully engage and participate in the production and development of special nuclear material outside the United States which could cause “significant damage to our national security.”[33]
March 2016: Ukraine’s Parliament voted Shokin out. At the time of his firing, Shokin stated that he’d made “specific plans” to investigate Burisma that included “interrogations and other crime-investigation procedures into all members of the executive board, including Hunter Biden.”[34] Joe Biden has insisted that the U.S. wanted Shokin removed over corruption concerns, which were shared by the E.U.[35]
September 2016: George Kent, the former Acting Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, emphasized in an email to his colleagues:
“The presence of Hunter Biden on the Burisma board was very awkward for all U.S. officials pushing an anticorruption agenda in Ukraine.”
December 2017: The Naftogaz Group, Ukraine’s state-owned energy company, announced that Hochstein had joined the company as an independent director, but on Monday he announced his resignation. “The company has been forced to spend endless amounts of time combating political pressure and efforts by oligarchs to enrich themselves through questionable transactions,” Hochstein wrote in an op-ed published in the Kyiv Post.
May 2, 2017: Hunter Biden, Tony Bobulinski, and Jim Biden send a series of text messages apparently tied to Joe Biden’s speech the next morning at the annual Milken Institute Global Conference in Beverly Hills, California:
- 3:56pm: Hunter to Bobulinski: “Dad not in now until 11-lets me I[sic] and Jim meet at 10 at Beverly Hilton where he’s staying.”
- 11:40pm: Bobulinski to Jim: “Great to meet u and spend some time together, please thank Joe for his time, was great to talk thx Tony b.”[36]
Bobulinsky later confirmed that he was introduced to Joe Biden at this time. He stated:
“That night, we discussed the Bidens’ history, the Biden family’s plans with the Chines with which [Joe] was plainly familiar, at least at a high level.”[37]
May 2017: Hunter met with Chinese tycoon Ye Jianming, the chairman of energy company CEFC, in a Miami hotel room and the pair discussed American infrastructure and energy deals.[38] After the meeting, Ye sent Hunter a 2.8-carat diamond and a “thank you” note and Hunter began negotiating a deal for CEFC to invest $40 million dollars in a natural gas project on Louisiana’s Monkey Island.[39]
May 13, 2017: An email was sent from James Gilliar (of the international consulting firm J2cR) to Tony Bobulinski and CC’d to Rob Walker and Hunter Biden with the subject line “Expectations:”
As I had already alluded we have discussed and agreed the following renumeration packages:
Chair / Vice Chair depending on agreement with CEFC ( Hunter ) 850
CEO ( Tony ) 850
EEIG ( James ) international consultancy agreement business development 500,000
Rob 500
Jim Unknown
Sanan ( Under EEIG agreement ) 72,000
Hunter has some office expectations he will elaborate
James needs travel of 15,000 k a month (180,000 PA )
At the moment there [i]s a provisional agreement that the equity will be distributed as follows:
20 H
20 RW
20 JG
20 TB
10 Jim
10 held by H for the big guy ?
I am happy to raise any detail with Zang if there [are] shortfalls ?[40]
“Zang” is an apparent reference to Zang Jian Jun, the former executive director of CEFC China.[41]
May 20, 2017: James Gilliar sends an encrypted WhatsApp message to Tony Bobulinsky:
“Don’t mention Joe being involved, it’s only when u are face to face, I know u know that but they are paranoid.”
Bobulinsky responds:
“OK they should be paranoid about things.”
Gilliar replies:
“For real.”[42]
Bobulinski sends Gilliar the same day:
“You need to stress to H, does he want to be the reason or factor that blows up his dad’s campaign, things need to be done right and protective of that fact.”[43]
July 26, 2017: CEFC executive Zhao Runlong sends an email to Tony Bobulinski that “Chairman Ye [Jianming]” and “Director Zang [Jian Jun]” “fully support the framework of establishing the [joint venture], based on their trust on the BD family.” He also said that “5 million is lent to BD family in the 10 million charter capital . . . This 5 million loan to BD family is interest-free. But if the 5M is used up, should the CEFC keep lending more to the family? If CEFC lends more, they need to know the interest rate for the subsequent loan(s).”[44]
August 1, 2017: Hunter Biden took a photo of a handwritten flowchart of the ownership of “Hudson West” split 50/50 between two entities ultimately controlled by Hunter Biden and someone identified as “Chairman” [most likely referring to the chairman of the CEFC, Ye Jianming].[45]
August 2, 2017: Hunter Biden sends an email to Gongwen Dong (the CFO of the Kam Fei Group, an investment firm based in Hong Kong), and CC’s Mervyn Yan:
My Understanding is that the original agreement with the Director was for consulting fees based on introductions alone a rate of $10M per year for a three year guarantee total of $30M.
The chairman changed that deal after we met in MIAMI TO A MUCH MORE LASTING AND LUCRATIVE ARRANGEMENT to create a holding company 50% percent owned by ME and 50% owned by him.
Consulting fees is one piece of our income stream but the reason this proposal by the chairman was so much more interesting to me and my family is that we would also be partners in the equity and profits of the [joint venture]’s investments.
Hence, I assumed the reason for our discussion today in which you made clear that the Chairman would first get his investment capital returned in the profits would then be split 50/50.
If you [are] saying that is not the case then please return us to the original deal 10M per year a guaranteed 3 years plus bonus payments for any successful deal we introduce.
Let’s discuss, thank you.[46]
Hunter’s reference to the “Director” is most likely referring to Zang Jian Jun, the former director of CEFC China, and his reference to the “chairman” refers to the chairman of CEFC, Ye Jianming.[47]
September 2017: According to a document found on Hunter Biden’s hard drive, Chi Ping Patrick Ho — one of Ye Jianming’s top lieutenants and former Hong Kong government official — agreed to pay Hunter a $1 million retainer for “Counsel to matters related to U.S. law and advice pertaining to the hiring and legal analysis of any U.S. Law Firm or Lawyer.”[48]
September 2017: A company called Hudson West III opened a line of credit.[49] Credit cards issued against the account were used by Hunter, his uncle James Biden, and James’ wife, Sara Biden, to purchase more than $100,000 “worth of extravagant items, including airline tickets and multiple items at Apple Inc. stores, pharmacies, hotels, and restaurants.”[50] The company has since been dissolved, and Hunter Biden’s law firm, Owasco PC, was one of two owners.[51]
November 2017: A CEFC executive was arrested in New York on unrelated bribery charges, and his first call was to Hunter Biden’s uncle, James Biden. James stated that he believed the call was for Hunter.[52]
Early 2018: Chairman Ye Jianming, who had ties to the Chinese military and intelligence service, was taken into custody by Chinese authorities and hasn’t been seen since.[53]
October 2018: The Wall Street Journal tied Gongwen Dong to the purchase by Ye Jianming-linked companies of two luxury Manhattan apartments that cost a total of $83 million.[54]
December 2018: A Manhattan federal jury convicted Chi Ping Patrick Ho in two schemes to pay $3 million in bribes to high-ranking government officials in Africa for oil rights in Chad and lucrative business deals in Uganda.[55] Ho served a three-year sentence and was deported to Hong Kong in June.[56]
April 2019: A water-damaged MacBook Pro (allegedly Hunter Biden’s) with a Western Digital external hard drive) was dropped off at a repair shop in Delaware. Other material extracted from the computer includes a raunchy, 12-minute video that appears to show Hunter smoking crack while engaged in a sex act with an unidentified woman, as well as numerous other sexually explicit images.[57] The customer brought the MacBook in for repair and never paid for service or retrieved it, according to the shop owner, who said he tried repeatedly to contact the client.[58] The shop owner couldn’t positively identify the customer as Hunter Biden, but he said that the laptop bore a sticker from the Beau Biden Foundation, named after Hunter’s late brother and former Delaware attorney general.[59] The quote also has “Bill To: Hunter Biden” and a signature included.[60]
April 2019: Hunter Biden announces that he is stepping down from the board of Burisma.[61]
September 21, 2019: In Iowa, Joe Biden is asked how many times he had spoken to his son about his overseas business dealings. His response: “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”[62]
October 13, 2019: Hunter Biden announces that he is stepping down from the board of BHR.[63]
December 8, 2019: In Nashua, New Hampshire, John Kerry is asked about Hunter Biden’s role on Burisma’s board. He falsely replies: “I had no knowledge about any of that. None. No.” This is contradicted by the Senate Intelligence Report.[64]
December 2019: The computer repair shop owner, John Paul Mac Issac, made a copy of the hard drive and later gave it to former Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s lawyer, Robert Costello.[65]
December 2019: The MacBook and its hard drive were seized by the FBI, after the shop’s owner says he alerted the feds to their existence.[66] In the FBI “Receipt for Property” form, which details the bureau’s interactions with the John Paul Mac Issac, the document’s “Case ID” was filled in with a handwritten number: “272D-BA-3065729” — a number referring to the bureau’s classification for transnational money laundering, as confirmed my multiple officials.[67]
December 5, 2019: At a town hall event in Iowa, Joe Biden was accused of sending Hunter to Ukraine “to get a job and work for a gas company, he had no experience with gas or nothing, in order to get access to . . . the president.” Biden responded, “You’re a damn liar, man. That’s not true and no one has ever said that.”[68]
December 9, 2019: John Paul Mac Isaac, responding to a federal subpoena, testifies before the U.S. District Court in Delaware.[69]
February 3, 2020: Biden was asked by NBC’s Savannah Guthrie if it was “wrong” for Hunter to take a seat on the board of Burisma Holdings “because the company wanted access to [Joe Biden].” Biden responded, “That’s not true. You’re saying things you do not know what you’re talking about. No one has said that — who said that?”[70]
April 25, 2020: CEFC declared bankruptcy.[71]
September 23, 2020: The U.S. Senate Commiittee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs and the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance release a joint report entitled: “Hunter Biden, Burisma, and Corruption: The Impact on U.S. Government Policy and Related Concerns.”[72]
October 5, 2020: The computer repairman spoke with three members of The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.[73]
October 14, 2020, 5:00am: The New York Post publishes an article outlining the new computer and hard drive scandal: “Smoking-gun email reveals how Hunter Biden introduced Ukrainian businessman to VP dad.”[74]
October 14, 2020, 10:10am: Facebook’s spokesman Andy Stone, Tweets: “While I will intentionally not link to the New York Post, I want [to] be clear that this story is eligible to be fact checked by Facebook’s third-party fact checking partners. In the meantime, we are reducing its distribution on our platform.”[75]
October 14, 2020, 10:46am: The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee confirms that it was working with the computer repairman, whose identity was confirmed by the New York Post, to verify documents from the hard drive.[76]
October 14, 2020, 9:41am: The Biden campaign calls for a lid for in-person events.[77]
October 14, 2020, 5:43pm: Biden campaign spokesman Andrew Bates: “We have reviewed Joe Biden’s official schedules from the time and no meeting, as alleged by the New York Post, ever took place.”[78] However, “Biden’s campaign would not rule out the possibility that the former VP had some kind of informal interaction with Pozharskyi, which wouldn’t appear on Biden’s official schedule.”[79] “I’ve literally never heard of this guy in my life,” said Amos Hochstein, a close Biden adviser who served as a special envoy for International Energy Affairs at the State Department during the Obama administration.[80]
October 15, 2020, 11:03pm: House Republicans send a letter to the FBI asking the FBI to reveal if it was in possession of the laptop that contained emails between Hunter Biden and top officials at Burisma during impeachment hearings against Trump:[81]
If the FBI was, in fact, in possession of this evidence and failed to alert the White House to its existence that would have given even more weight to the president’s legal defense, this was a gross error in judgment and a severe violation of trust.[82]
October 16, 2020, 10:47pm: Fox News reports that “Sources told Fox News” that ‘the big guy’ in the email stating “20 for H” and “10 held by H for the big guy?” is a reference to the former vice president.[83]
October 16, 2020, 10:59pm: Joe Biden is first asked about the New York Post story detailing the MacBook and hard drive discovered. His response: “I know you’d ask it. I have no response, it’s another smear campaign, right up your alley, those are the questions you always ask.”
October 19, 2020, 9:33am: The Director of National Intelligence states that the information contained on Hunter Biden’s laptop “is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign.” “Let me be clear: The intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports that.”[84]
October 22, 2020, 5:28am: Tony Bobulinski, one of the three people on the email chain and one of the people included in the “10 held by H for the big guy ?” releases a statement:
My name is Tony Bobulinsky. The facts set forth below are true and accurate; they are not any form of domestic or foreign disinformation. Any suggestion to the contrary is false and offensive. I am the recipient of the email published seven days ago by the New York Post which showed a copy to Hunter Biden and Rob Walker. That email is genuine.
This afternoon, I received a request from the Senate committee on Homeland Security and government affairs and the Senate committee on finance requesting all documents relating to my business affairs with the Biden family as well as various foreign entities and individuals. I have extensive relevant records and communications and I intend to produce those items to both committees in the immediate future.
I am the grandson of a 37 year Army Intelligence officer, the son of a 20+ year career Naval Officer and the brother of a 28 year career Naval Flight officer. I myself served our country for four years and left the Navy as LT Bobulinski. I held a high level security clearance and was an instructor and then CTO for Naval Nuclear Power Training Command. I take great pride in the time my family and I served this country. I am also not a political person. What few campaign contributions I have made in my life were to Democrats.
If the media and big tech companies had done their jobs over the past several weeks I would be irrelevant in this story. Given my longstanding service and devotion to this great country, I could no longer allow my family’s name to be associated or tide to Russian disinformation or implied lies and false narratives dominating the media right now.
After leaving the military I became an institutional investor investing extensively around the world and on every continent. I have traveled to over 50 countries. I believe, hands down, we live in the greatest country in the world.
What I am outlining is fact. I know it is fact because I lived it. I am the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings which was a partnership between the Chinese operating through CEFC/Chairman Ye [Jianming] and the Biden family. I was brought into the company to be the CEO by James Gilliar and Hunter Biden. The reference to “the Big Guy” in the much publicized May 13, 2017 email is in fact a reference to Joe Biden. The other “JB” referenced in that email is Jim Biden, Joe’s Brother.
Hunter Biden called his dad ‘the big guy’ or ‘my chairman,’ and frequently referenced asking him for his sign off or advice on various potential deals that we were discussing. I’ve seen Vice President Biden saying he never talked to Hunter about his business. I’ve seen firsthand that that’s not true, because it wasn’t just Hunter’s business, they said they were putting the Biden family name and its legacy on the line.
I realized the Chinese were not really focused on a healthy financial ROI. They were looking at this as a political or influence investment. Once I realized that Hunter wanted to use the company as his personal Piggy Bank by just taking money out of it as soon as it came from the Chinese, I took steps to prevent that from happening.
The Johnson report connected some dots in a way that shocked me — it made me realize the Bidens had gone behind my back and gotten paid aid millions of dollars by the Chinese, even though they told me they hadn’t and wouldn’t do that to their partners.
I would ask the Biden family to address the American people and outline the facts so I can go back to being irrelevant — and so I am not put in a position to have to answer those questions for them.
I don’t have a political axe to grind; I just saw behind the Biden curtain and I grew concerned with what I saw. The Biden family aggressively leveraged the Biden family name to make millions of dollars from foreign entities even though some were from communist controlled China.[85]
October 22, 2020, 7:42pm: Tony Bobulinski confirms that he will be “meeting with the Senate committee members concerning this matter and I will be providing the FBI the devices which contain the evidence corroborating what I have said.”[86]
When asked to elaborate on what evidence he possessed, Bobulinski replied: “The evidence sits on these three phones, I don’t want to go into anything any further. This will all be discussed with Senator Johnson and his committee and the American people can decide what’s fact.”[87]
